About

Jaime Lopes is a freelance sound engineer, designer and music producer from Southern Africa.
When he was just a small boy he was often desperate to listen to one of his favourite cassettes. As a result he excitedly hooked up wires from a mains socket directly to the battery terminals on a little tape deck. The subsequent explosion when the switch was flipped left Jaime with two great and lasting passions
– solving a problem and music!

Having graduated Top Sound Engineering Student from Damelin in 2005, he returned to lecture Electronics, Video Editing and Digital Audio Theory. Since then Jaime has spent time maintaining Sound, Lighting and Projection systems, leading volunteers at GodFirst Church, designing and running websites, social media channels and a wealth of the design work for several clients locally and internationally.
And now 14 years later Jaime still loves to fix and create Audio, Video and more!

Jaime now works as a freelance multi-media designer based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
